At Fairhaven School we value the understanding our community gains through the interaction and languages that the international students and families offer.
International students are placed in our mainstream classes and have small group English language lessons.
We are the Kiwifruit capital of the World. Bush, rivers, waterfalls, and beaches close with a moderate climate.

What We Offer
- One International student per class.
- Class of their year level.
- Progress shared with parents.
- Small group English language lessons.
- Excellent facilities on site, including a swimming pool, library, large field, and playground.
Fee’s
$12,700 NZD per annum
$3,300 NZD per annum
$100 per day for less than 10 weeks
Registration Fee
$300 NZD – This is paid when first enrolling to Fairhaven
Administration Fee
$200 NZD – These fees are inclusive,e of General tuition, an ESOL program and stationery required for classroom and ESOl lessons.
International students groups
Finders fee $25
School tuition $100 per day
Homestay students $60 Special diet may be extra
Homestay teachers $80
Excursion fee $50 – $250
Additional costs (May vary from student to student)
- School trips, events (approx $50 per year)
- Sports teams ($15- $90 per sport)
- School camp ($60- $400)

Code Of Practice
New Zealand is the only country in the world that has a government ‘Code of Practice’ to protect the safety and rights of all international students. Fairhaven School is a signatory to The Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2016, thus ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for every student. Full copies of the Code are available in various languages from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) at: nzqa.govt.nz
